I recently had the pleasure of my RITA-Award nominated book be reviewed on Smart Bitches, Trashy Books.

The opening sentence of the review made me break out into a cold sweat wondering which Latin term I’d butchered, until I realized that the reviewer was making a joke about my bio in which I mention that I never mastered Latin.

Anyway, the review was lovely and I’m so honored to be featured on that blog.

I particularly enjoyed this part of the review because I think it might actually help shape what I’m going to do in the third book.

Dray doesn’t necessarily frame the book this way, but one of the themes which I found most engaging in the development of Selene’s character was that of a young woman coming to terms not only with her rapist and her relationship to him, but to her own body, which had become foreign to her.
