This has been an incredibly bad week for Norwegians and here in the United States, we feel your pain. It’s hard to know what to do or say to lend comfort. How exactly does one even wrap one’s head around the idea of a monster who would spend an hour hunting down children…
At any rate, I rarely do international giveaways because the postage is not only expensive but also a huge hassle. However, I’ve recently been made aware that I have readers in Norway who are excluded from my giveaways. This week, of all weeks, I just can’t say ‘Oh, I’m sorry, it’s just not something I can do.’
So, here it is. If you’re in Norway and you want a copy of either Lily of the Nile (January 2011) or Song of the Nile (October 2011), leave a comment here and spread the word to your Norwegian friends. I’ll choose a random winner (or a few if there is enough interest) and make sure that at least someone in Norway has a little reading distraction from all the awfulness.
You’re awesome for doing this!!!
I’m not in Norway but you are way awesome for doing this!!! I think they could definitely use something fun and good right about now.
I am not in Norway either but I just wanted to respond. I agree with Meg.
Also, I am a member of the creative writer’s group that you are speaking to in October. I just finished reading Lily of the Nile and I loved it! I look forward to meeting you and reading your next book.
I look forward very much to speaking to your group! It will be a delight to meet you. Is there anything special you’d like me to prepare to talk about?
Hi!
Im from Bergen, and it really touches me that you want to do this! It would really like the first book, which my best friend, Emilie has promoted. She is a big fan of your work, and her big dream is to be an actress in “Lily of the Nile”, if the book becomes a movie. I do hope it does!
Yay! I’m sure that Emilie will be a big star no matter what she does, but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t hope Lily of the Nile would become a movie 😉 I’ll count you as an entrant into my contest. I hope you’ll tell your countrymen.
Sure I will! 😉
OMG OMG OMG !!! Thank you !! 😀 As I hope you know I’m your biggest fan in norway and I told all my friend about this, its really really nice of you. Its been many hard days here in Norway, thank you for your kind words.

I’m not from Norway either, and I agree it is wonderful of you to do this. Cleopatra VII and Selene still inspire and entertain.
Hi! I’m from Norway and I think it’s wonderful of you to do this. It’s rare for us to have the opportunity to enter contests, and all the more fun when we can! 🙂 Thank you for doing this.
